As a matter of fact, we must feel good about ourselves, or eventually we will develop some sort of unhealthy, uncontrolled behavior to get the good feelings we crave. Think about it. A person who is addicted to drugs probably began using them because his pain was so intense he felt compelled to get rid of it, even if only temporarily. The same thing is true of drinking, or using food as a comfort. If we do not get good feelings from the inside, then we attempt to create them through outside means. God created us that way and He's the only one who can satisfy us. A teenager leapt to his death this morning from the Brooklyn Bridge during morning rush hour traffic, authorities said. The 19-year-old was threatening to jump from the Brooklyn-bound roadway around 7:20 a.m. when emergency workers responded to the call, said a spokesman for the FDNY. All bridge traffic was shut down in both directions to pedestrians and cars, cops said. The man jumped about 30 minutes later from the Brooklyn side of the bridge and landed in the rear of the River Cafe, police sources said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The rumored Chromebook will be 12.85-inches, touch-capable, and will be released in Q1 of 2013. Google has enlisted two Taiwanese manufacturers to handle the production its Chromebooks. The first manufacturer, Compal Electronics, will be responsible for the OEM production, and the second manufacturer, Wintek, will be responsible for supplying the touch panels. Facebook has been placing posters all around their offices to encourage their employees to give up their iPhones and pick up an Android phone. By having employees use Android handsets, they are getting their employees to dogfood (or droidfood) their Facebook for Android app. They know that there are bugs within their Facebook for Android app and they want their employees to figure those bugs out using a bug reporting tool which they call the “Rage Shake”. Facebook knows that the expected shipments of Android handsets will greatly surpass that of the iPhone by 2016, so they want their employees working extra hard on their app for Android so they don’t neglect most of the smartphone market. Love is something that can be seen. It is seen in the fruit of the Spirit working in our lives, in our behavior and how we treat people. Love has many facets, or different ways we can see it. For example, when a diamond ring is held up to the light, it can sparkle in various ways depending on which way it is turned in the light. I believe love also sparkles in different ways depending on how we look at it. I Corinthians 13:4-7 gives us examples of the many facets of love: Love endures long, it has the ability to put up with stuff for a long time. Love is never envious, it doesn't want what it doesn't have. Love is not boastful or vainglorious, it doesn't call attention to itself. Love is not conceited or rude. Love doesn't insist on its own way. Love pays no attention to a suffered wrong. Love never gives up! These are just a few ways we're supposed to love others...and it's also the way God loves us. One of Satan's more cunning weapons is distraction. He knows if we become sidetracked by the cares of the world that, more than likely, we will begin to neglect our time with God. To keep us faithful and in close fellowship and communion with Him, sometimes God wants us to remove distractions that are separating us from Him, even if it hurts. For example, if our career or desire for money or social status are more important to us than pleasing God, we need to get our priorities straight. Or maybe a relationship is keeping you from spending time with God and you're looking for that person's attention and approval more than God's. The bottom line is, any situation or desire in our life that keeps us from being led by the Holy Spirit or living for God is an unhealthy distraction that's not good for us. I believe every time we feel frustration, it means we've really stopped relying on God. That might sound like a bold statement to you, but think about it: God's given you and me His Holy Spirit and His grace to help us walk through anything that comes our way. Frustration hits when we stop depending on Him and try to make something happen our own way. Understanding this really helped me. Every time I became frustrated, I reminded myself that what I was really doing was trying to take the place of the Holy Spirit. I was trying to be Holy Spirit Junior!
