Report: Longtime Google Exec Marissa Mayer Will Be Yahoo’s New CEO

Marissa Mayer, the technology executive who has worked at Google since the search company’s earliest days, has been appointed CEO of Yahoo, according to a new report from the New York Times.
This is breaking news, and there has not been confirmation from Yahoo yet. It’s interesting that the company would put out news of this magnitude through an exclusive with one media outlet, rather than an official press release or other more general announcement. The company’s next quarterly earnings call is slated for tomorrow, which would have been a natural time to put out the news far and wide. But then again, it’s been a tough few years for Yahoo — and its last CEO Scott Thompson departed under less than ideal terms — so the company is clearly being very careful about its PR strategy.
There’s no question that Marissa Mayer is certainly a catch for Yahoo. After receiving a B.S. in symbolic systems and her M.S. in computer science from Stanford (no fudged engineering credentials here) she started at Google in 1999 as the company’s 20th employee and its first female engineer. Since then she has stayed on with the company and served as one of its most public faces, making appearances on the tech conference circuit, network television morning shows, evening newscasts such as Charlie Rose, and even as a frequent TechCrunch Disrupt judge. Most recently, Mayer has served as Google’s vice president of location and local services.

University of the people, Where can you transfer to?

Where can you transfer your credits earned at the University of the People?            I am a current student at the University of the People. There are many good and bad reviews referring to this institution, mine has been a great experience so far.      "Transferring Credits from UoPeople to Other Institutions:  The transferability of credits and credentials is at the complete discretion of the institution to which you seek to transfer, and may include a transfer fee" ( University of the People. 2018).      SO, far I have confirmed NYU to be able to transfer my credits to, as well as my local community colleges. Samsung's  Galaxy Note Edge  is available for purchase in the U.S. The handset is now on sale at  AT&T ,  Sprint  and  T-Mobile , with  Verizon , and U.S. Cellular set to follow. AT&T is listing the Galaxy Note Edge for $399 on a two-year contract. You can also buy the device outright for $945, or go with the carrier's Next plans, through which you can get the handset for $0 down (not including taxes), followed by monthly payments of $47.30 for 12 months, $39.42 for 18 months or $31.54 for 24 months. Over on T-Mobile, the Galaxy Note Edge is available for $870 outright or $0 down (again, not including sales tax) with monthly payments of $36.25 over 24 months.
