Sprint won’t charge for FaceTime over 3G/4G, Verizon undecided
Any Sprint iPhone users will be glad to know that “Big Yellow” isn’t planning on going down the same route. The newest major iPhone partner carrier will be allowing its subscribers to make use of their data allowance, which in many cases will be unlimited. One doubt I have over its success is that if Sprint is still suffering incredibly slow 3G speeds by the time iOS 6 is released, then FaceTime calling is going to be as smooth as riding a three legged buffalo over potholes.
US’ number 1 carrier, VZW, hasn’t yet come to an arrangement with Apple over its plans. Presumably, it will all depend on whether or not the next generation iPhone has LTE capabilities (which we’re all assuming it will have.)
Will any of you be switching to Sprint following this news? Or is FaceTime not a deal breaker for you? Comment or tweet me: @TiP_Cam
